What is the purpose of Mio technology?
The Mio technology is designed to offer a
generic format for new
communications means, services communication, and digital contents.
How is a Mio file made?

Mio generators allow for the creation of Mio
files, as follow:
MioFactory,
which makes Mio from Web or Flash contents,
ClipFactory, which allows the simple creation of musical clips
TagMachine, which allows to tag screens.
Who can create a Mio file?

MioFactory is for those who know how to make
web pages or Flash sequences,
while ClipFactory and TagMachine are for everyone, even very young kids.
On which computers can Mio run?
Mio runs on all PCs under Windows 95, 98, NT4,
ME, 2000, XP, XP Tablet PC edition.
What is needed to read a Mio file?
To read a Mio file, the MioEngine must be
installed. There is two ways to do so:
By downloading a Mio application
distributed in the .EXE format.
in this case, MioEngine is delivered with the package and installs
itself.

What happens when I arrive on a site that offers a Mio and I don’t
have MioEngine?
In the case where a site distributes only one
Mio, it will generally
be an executable file in the .EXE format which you will have to download.
Since MioEngine is included in the Mio distributed in the executable
format,
you will be able to read all the following Mio files without
additional downloading.
In the case where a site is distributing several Mio, an automatic
detection procedure should invite you to download the MioEngine, the
first time you attempt to download one. The installation is very simple.
